Mythwrite and Sudowrite
Mythwrite and Sudowrite: two different ideas of AI
Sudowrite is built around AI drafting, with AI included in the price as monthly credits. Mythwrite is a writing and publishing workspace where AI is optional, runs on your own key, and every AI-written word is tracked. This page sets out the differences plainly.
45 days free, no card required. We make Mythwrite, so this page is not neutral; we have tried to be fair.
Who this page is for
- You want AI help with your book, but want to stay the author and keep a record of what AI wrote.
- You want to proof, format and publish in the same place you write.
- You would rather pay your AI provider for what you use than buy a credit allowance.
The short verdict
If you want AI to do much of the drafting, with everything bundled into one subscription, Sudowrite is the more AI-centred choice. If you want a complete workspace from outline to published EPUB and print PDF, with AI as an optional helper and a record of its contribution, Mythwrite is the better fit.

Questions
Good to know.
Can I bring a Sudowrite project into Mythwrite?
Sudowrite exports your project as a Word document. Import the .docx into Mythwrite and check the preview of chapters and scenes before importing. Story Bible entries are not part of Sudowrite's document export, so add them to the Archivum separately.
Do I need an AI subscription to use Mythwrite?
No. Mythwrite works fully without AI. If you want AI, connect your own key and pay the provider for what you use.
Is this page neutral?
No, we make Mythwrite. We have stated only what Sudowrite says on its own site, linked our sources, and said where Sudowrite is the better choice.
